This morning I checked out Google Maps new feature : Street View. This isn't actually a new thing, as I believe A9.com used to have maps that gave you pictures of both sides of the street. This does it in a more interactive and fluid way. You can have a full 360 degree view, a full screen blow up and zooming capabilities as well. So far only San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver, Miami and New York are available (and then not every street). Also it seems like San Fransisco is more detailed than New York (and one extra level of zoom). The future is an exciting place. I can now virtually go to work.
Then I saw this (and I know its just a demo and theres some huge security issues to talk about), but it looks like something straight out of Blade Runner or Minority Report. The future is upon us. 'Surface" is here:
