Happy 4th of July !!

Takeru Kobayashi lost this morning's Nathan Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, to American Joey Chestnut. The record is now at 66 hot dogs eaten. Ouch.

Today isn't about hot dogs or fireworks, but a living memorial to the birth of a nation.

Bart Simpson summed it up best with :
"Hey America.
You're so fine you, you're so fine you blow my mind.
America. (arm pit fart)."


* I did stop by the Kwiki Mart on the way to a BBQ and was pleasantly surprised to find this :


** The content of the box is essential stale Fruit Loops (or maybe the imitation el-cheapo Fruit Loops knockoff in a bag). There is NO prize nor metal Krusty O in this box. I can only hope there is 1 box containing the metal O that wins you something. Whether that is a visit with Matt Groening or a free movie pass, it is not important. It would add some validation to an otherwise empty marketing gimmick. By the way, the Buzz Cola inventory is now depleted, as well as the previously mentioned merchandise (though the amount of empty handed patrons increases exponentially). I think my foray into Kwiki Mart is now officially over.
