Wyatt Cenac sighted

Leaving the confines of Chelsea Market, I head uptown. As I finished crossing 18th & 10th, I spot a familiar face :

Wyatt Cenac is a part of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (and using our old studios at 52nd St). I gave him the "eye" and he returned it.

Cool.

Peter Friedman sighting

You are probably thinking to yourself, WHO?
.......

PETER FUCKIN' FRIEDMAN, that's who! HAH.

Peter Friedman is New York actor, probably better know for his stage presence than for his film presence (though his IMDB credits are in the forties). Sadly, I have never seen him on stage & remember him best as the Father Lucci character from the Seventh Sign.

He was wandering around 10th Ave, whilst I was running around doing my laundry pre-Super Bowl.

Friday Night on 10th Avenue

Traffic on 10th Avenue is atrocious tonight. It takes 10 minutes to go 3 blocks on the M11. As I get off the bus at 42nd street I notice this :

When my eyes adjust to the bright fluorescent patches of EMS, fire fighters, the police and their vehicles, the situation was a bit clearer (sort of) :

The white van on the left, may have struck the man now lying in a circle of EMS, fire fighters and police, in the middle of 10th Avenue. The "victim" was sitting down in the street, with what looked like a "can" of something next to him. Lets hope 10th Avenue doesn't become the newest most dangerous street in New York (especially in light of my near collision with the Vespa driving Batali).
