Tony Jaa 2.0

I'm a big fan of Thailand's action star, Tony Jaa. Though his movies have been narratively simplistic and predictable at times (nonsensical at other times, especially for someone outside of Thailand/South Pacific), they represent the pinnacle of martial arts "realism" in film. Ong Bank and Tom Yum Goong comprise a must see of my action collection.

Well Tony is back with his new movie, Ong Bak 2, which looks to be a "historical" or origin story of the priest-elephant warrior caste of ancient Thailand. Included is gut wrenching physicality, Tony sporting his swordplay and Tony behind the camera, directing. Please you enjoy :
