I am uncertain how new the event is, but YouTube is now hosting "official" tv series episodes and movies.
I have been watching everything from Conan the Adventurer, to Alf to MacGuyver and even He-Man. For a complete listing of TV shows go here.
There is also a good selection of movies in HD, including Koyaanisqatsi, Super Size Me, Once Upon a Time in China and even Hercules in New York. For a list of complete movies go here.
This is obviously a push to be legitimate. Hopefully it can be a haven for users and media distribution. A digital utopia. Maybe CBS and other networks will jump on-board. Only the future will tell, but the Packet Wars (the upcoming battle over media distribution and data caps, in a limited pipeline) are still coming. Get ready. In the meantime, here is another online version of Koyaanisqatsi (MGM disabled the embed feature).
